In May 2013, a category EF5 tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma, and nearby areas on the afternoon of May 20, 2013, with peak winds estimated at 210 mph. The tornado tragically claimed the lives of 24 people (plus one indirect death) and left 377 others injured. Over a span of 39 minutes, the tornado traveled along a 17-mile path, cutting through a densely populated section of Moore. At its widest point, the tornado measured 1.3 miles across.

When I arrived in Oklahoma City a month later to assist with relief efforts, I anticipated encountering numerous stories of victims, volunteers, residents, and heroes. Working alongside missions and churches, I conducted interviews and produced short documentaries that focused on themes of faith, hope, and courage.

From May 2013 through the end of that year, we gathered content and conducted interviews. Below is a collection of what we have produced, which we plan to update with new videos every few months. We welcome feedback and hope that these documentaries will provide strength to anyone facing their own personal storms.
